Menopause is a biological process, which is when the end of the menstrual cycle, and that is considered when twelve months go by without a period. Menopause can be early - around 40; however, it is usually after 50.

When menopause starts,  physical symptoms such as hot flashes, excessive sweating at night, dry skin, thinner hair, vaginal dryness could be present. Also, it could affect emotions, change of humor, insomnia, low energy, etc.

After menopause, the risk of some diseases may increase, such as urinary incontinence, osteoporosis, sexual dysfunction (reduced libido and dryness).
