Acupuncture for Pain relief

Evidence-Based Pain Relief

Acupuncture is one of the most extensively researched complementary therapies for pain management. High-quality clinical studies and systematic reviews have shown it can be effective in relieving chronic pain, including back pain, neck pain, osteoarthritis, headaches, and migraines. Research suggests that acupuncture works by stimulating the nervous system, promoting the release of the body's natural pain-relieving chemicals, reducing inflammation, and supporting the body's own healing processes.

Acupuncture offers a safe, drug-free approach to managing pain and improving quality of life.

Acupuncture- Supporting Emotional Wellbeing

Acupuncture has been increasingly studied as a complementary approach for managing anxiety- stress. Research suggests it may help reduce anxiety symptoms by regulating the nervous system, promoting relaxation, and supporting the body's natural stress response. Studies have also shown that acupuncture may improve heart rate variability—a marker of resilience to stress—and stimulate the release of endorphins, the body's natural "feel-good" chemicals.

For many people, acupuncture can be used alongside conventional medical care to help improve emotional wellbeing and quality of life.

WHAT DO YOU SHOULD EXPECT?

During the first consultation, we will talk through your symptoms, medical history, and your lifestyle, as traditional Chinese medicine is a holistic therapy, and we need to understand the root of the illness.

I also look at your tongue, as your tongue will indicate how is the body, and which direction the treatment should go. If need it, a suggestion about the diet and lifestyle will be given. Depending on the condition we might need a few sessions to experience a significant result.

The first acupuncture session will take 15 minutes consultation+ plus 45 min treatment.

For your session, please wear loose clothing, to allow me to needle different parts of your body.
